Mother Dairy MD Manish Bandlish resigns — tenure ends Nov 30

By DairyNews7x7•Published on November 29, 2025

Manish Bandlish, Managing Director (MD) of Mother Dairy, has resigned from his position; his tenure will conclude on 30 November 2025. He took charge as MD in March 2021. According to the cooperative, Bandlish is stepping down “to pursue professional goals outside the company.”

In its statement, Mother Dairy acknowledged his “valuable contributions” to the company’s growth over the past four years.

Mother Dairy is one of India’s leading milk suppliers. In the last financial year, the company reported a turnover of around ₹17,500 crore. The firm delivers more than 50 lakh litres of milk daily across several states; over 35 lakh litres per day supply goes to the Delhi–NCR market alone.

Beyond fluid milk, Mother Dairy also markets a range of dairy products under its own brand, and has diversified into edible oils, fresh and frozen fruits & vegetables, and even bread and bakery items.

The company operates through an extensive network — including nine company-owned milk processing plants, four horticulture units, and 16 associated facilities for edible oils.

Interim Arrangements & What’s Next

Following Bandlish’s resignation, Mother Dairy has announced that the responsibilities of the MD will be temporarily handled by the Deputy Managing Director, Sh Jayatheertha Chary under the oversight of the Board. At present, there is no public announcement about a permanent successor, implying a transition period under interim leadership.

Given Mother Dairy’s large scale and importance — supplying tens of lakh litres of milk daily and running multiple business lines — the change in leadership will be watched closely by farmers, processors, and consumers alike.
