Amul Dairy Records ₹14,099 Cr Turnover, 9.2% Growth
The Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd (Amul Dairy) reported a turnover of ₹14,099 crore in FY25, marking a 9.2 % year-on-year growth, according to figures announced at its 79th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Anand. The cooperative, which works with over 7 lakh milk producers, continues to demonstrate strong financial and operational momentum in a competitive dairy landscape.
During FY25, average daily milk procurement reached approximately 48.16 lakh kg, reflecting steady farmer engagement and collection expansion. Amul also increased the price paid to producers for milk fat to ₹1,028 per kg, corresponding to a 9.39 % rise, helping sustain farmer incomes amid input cost pressures.
The cooperative’s animal health and productivity initiatives were highlighted as drivers of long-term growth, with over 10 lakh doses of sorted sex semen used—the highest in the country— and 3,894 embryo transfers resulting in 618 high-yield calves during the year. Amul’s extensive veterinary network provided doorstep care to nearly 6.96 lakh animals, and digital cow belts were fitted on more than 2,000 animals as part of precision health monitoring efforts.
Amul Dairy also expanded its procurement footprint beyond Gujarat into West Bengal, Maharashtra, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Assam and Tamil Nadu, and initiated milk procurement in Karnataka and Odisha, strengthening cooperative integration across regions. Infrastructure upgrades at Anand included new RO plants, soft water systems and automated milk sampling technologies, enhancing processing quality and reliability.
